Seagram's VO is a classic Canadian whisky blend, made with spirit of at least 6 years of age. It is said the blend was created after a post-prandial conversation amongst the Seagram family; the letters "VO" might well stand for "very own", as in, their very own blend...
Juicy, spicy rye grains, dried apricot, lemon curd, oak and gristy sweetness.
Spicy and creamy, medium-bodied with honey, caramel and coffee. A touch of orange marmalade and pannacotta.
Medium length, spicy and sweet.
A well rounded flavour with a nice finish. Goes well with a splash of angsturish bitters and dry ginger. Great to unwind at the end of the day.
VO and water on the rocks with a twist is the very best drink at any reception or sitting at the end of a long day of work.
VO is my favorite sipping whisky. I first enjoyed it as a 1960s college student but back then I polluted it with ginger ale or 7-Up until my father suggested only a splash of water and over ice. It has been so ever since and has captured my favor for life.
It is the smoothest whiskey I ever had, and I've tried them all. Not a daily drinker for decades now; and when I do drink, it's rum ... GOOD rum: Bacardi's or Captain Morgan. HOWEVER, if VO is available, I'll take it, sipped. If chilled, straight. If not, very little ice. I dont drink ANYthing else.
V O and coke. At least 30 years ,2-4 drinks a night. Keeps me healthy. I thought VO stood for very old. Good whiskey, not to sweet and not too bitter. Hard to get here in La. right now, must be shipping problems.
