A very smooth blended Scotch with a distinct honey flavour. In 1997 it won the International Spirits Challenge.

Oops, another one who's had one too many drams. I went and forgot to score the Leader! 10/10!!
I love Scottish Leader, I always make sure I have a few bottles in the house for guests and myself. There's nothing better than a day spent in the bath accompanied by a large dram of leader!
The label describes this blend as 'sweet'. That's an understatement. It's rather like an alcoholic liquid form of McCowan's Highland Toffee. When I was rash enough to order a 70ml double of this noxious substance in a Glasgow pub recently, I couldn't decide which was more horrifying, the caramel-swamped flavour or the fact that a portion of Deanston's admirable single malt has vanished into the abyss of this witches brew.
Excellent blended malt, creamy nose, fruity, noteable praline and oak finish Very smooth but inexpensive
forgot to rate the dram in above report-- Giving it 8 out of ten
