This is an Irish whiskey that has enjoyed a finishing period in bourbon barrels before being bottled as part of the Peaky Blinder range from Sadler's. The name comes from a street gang that was around in the late 19th and early 20th Century, a member of which you can see on the label - note the all important cap, which apparently was where the gang name originates.
Blackcurrant and apple, with a hint of vanilla toffee underneath.
Melted chocolate, apricots, toasted oak and dried peels.
A subtle hint of cinnamon sticks around on the finish.
Drinking moldy beer would probable taste better, if you’re a big fan of cheap scotch you’ll probable be able to drink it.
Love the chocolate, caramel flavour. Don’t ever change it
Doesn't compare to what is to me the quintessential Irish whiskey, Jameson. Doesn't smell or taste like any whiskey I've had before, no real distinct smell or taste, definitely a mixer whiskey.
Absolutely beautiful taste, I buy this for my son he loves this whisky. Also a fan of the show! I highly recommend,
What a lovely surprise. This was bought as a gift, and I have no idea why; I’d never heard of the TV show and don’t normally drink Irish blends, and some of the reviews didn’t bode well, but this is rather nice indeed. Opens up well with a little water, and is smooth, fairy sweet and yummy. An easy drinker for these winter nights and I might just check out the TV show after all.
