This is an Irish whiskey that has enjoyed a finishing period in bourbon barrels before being bottled as part of the Peaky Blinder range from Sadler's. The name comes from a street gang that was around in the late 19th and early 20th Century, a member of which you can see on the label - note the all important cap, which apparently was where the gang name originates.
Blackcurrant and apple, with a hint of vanilla toffee underneath.
Melted chocolate, apricots, toasted oak and dried peels.
A subtle hint of cinnamon sticks around on the finish.
Really tried to like this but something tastes badly off. It's almost as if a nice smooth vodka had some weird artificial nut or wood flavouring added to it. The pro is that it doesn’t burn. The con is the strange artificial corn syrup kind of taste, almost like a Starbucks syrup. I can see some people liking this but regrettably this is the first time for me where I’m binning the rest of the bottle. Not palatable.
Fruit and nut, best at room temp, forget the rocks
Awesome
Too sweet and fruity for my taste but very smooth and drinkable. Not for me but might be just the thing for some.
was given a bott;e of peaky blinders as a birthday present, what a suprise, so smooth, will definatly be buying some for christmas
