This is the second batch of very exciting Rosebank single malt Scotch whisky to bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, matured for 28 years before being bottled. Rosebank closed in the early 1990s, but it's due to reopen in the coming years, so the folks on the label are busy getting the distillery ready. Mostly this involves chucking out all of the '90s gubbins, like that Jurassic Park sign and Mallett's Mallet.
Batch 2 is a release of 333 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Honeysuckle, toffee apple and black fruits, then earthy hints of tobacco, petrichor and cedar.
Soft peppercorn heat and a little oak char are tempered by waves of caramel. Then there’s blackberry, caraway and a little marmalade.
Clove-studded orange and toasted teacake with salted butter.
