Released in March 2017, Roe & Co blended Irish whiskey marks Diageo's return to the Irish whiskey category having sold Bushmills a couple of years earlier. Roe & Co is bottled at 45% abv without chill filtration and is a blend of single malt and grain whiskeys matured exclusively in bourbon casks (a high proportion of which are first-fill).
Creamy, delightfully fragrant and remarkably rounded with notes of soft spice and mellow spun sugar along with warm hints of woody vanilla.
The quality and perfect balance of the blend is immediately apparent on the palate through its velvety texture and sweet flavours including spiced pears and vanilla.
Lingering and gentle, ending with a light creaminess.

This is a great sipping whiskey without having to think to much about the liquid. Not overly complex but there is a lovely pear note from the nose to the finish which evolves and changes and I will buy it again just for that. At this price you can't go wrong.
Compared to other whiskey in this price range, I find that this does little to stand out. A bottle of black bush is far better
Top class whiskey
Very awesome, smooth, many spicy notes, my new favorite.
Was bought this as an Xmas gift, being new to whiskey I'm still learning, especially about what I like and don't. I've been lucky enough to try some amazing whiskey, just last night, by chance, I tried Midleton Very Rare 2016, wow! My go to whisky is Dalmore 15, I also like some full on peat Laphroaig now and again. This for me just didn't smell or taste like whiskey, looking at other reviews I wonder if I had an odd batch. It smelled of alcohol, almost like smelling vodka, and then the taste....Wasn't offensive, but wasn't of anything either. Don't know what to do with this stuff, never going to drink it.
