    Roe & Co Irish Whiskey

Released in March 2017, Roe & Co blended Irish whiskey marks Diageo's return to the Irish whiskey category having sold Bushmills a couple of years earlier. Roe & Co is bottled at 45% abv without chill filtration and is a blend of single malt and grain whiskeys matured exclusively in bourbon casks (a high proportion of which are first-fill).

    Tasting Note by The Producer

    Nose

Creamy, delightfully fragrant and remarkably rounded with notes of soft spice and mellow spun sugar along with warm hints of woody vanilla.

    Palate

The quality and perfect balance of the blend is immediately apparent on the palate through its velvety texture and sweet flavours including spiced pears and vanilla.

    Finish

Lingering and gentle, ending with a light creaminess.

    Great value, nice dram

I paid $30 for this bottle in NC. Solid value for the money, won't knock your socks off, not the best Irish whiskey on your shelf, but a decent dram. Enjoyed this neat and the combination of vanilla, light honey sweetness, graham cracker, cream soda, and subtle fruit, like a canned fruit cocktail note, with a slight black pepper note on the finish from the young grain whiskey offers a nice dram for the money. Perfect for sipping outside on a cool evening.

    Roe and Co Irish Whisky

This really suits my palate and is a lovely mild and soft Irish whisky. Also inexpensive which is a real bonus. I love it!

    Roe Whiskey.

Really nice whiskey. Good price, especially when it was on offer. Will buy again.

    Pleasant but no oomph.

I can't say a great deal about it as it doesn't linger in the memory, but it went down easy. If I were to blind drink it I would struggle to call it an Irish whiskey. In my novice drinking days I would have rated it higher and shown off by drinking it neat. I'll give it that, 45% neat.
