A cask-strength edition of the beloved single pot still Irish whiskey, Redbreast 12 Year Old. Triple distilled in copper pot stills from a combination of malted and unmalted barley, the whiskey matured in a combo of American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish oak oloroso sherry butts before being bottled at cask strength, amping up all that classic, rich, rounded Redbreast character.
Juicy notes of fruit salad lead to sweet, dried stone fruits, with peaches and plump sultanas backed by a touch of candied orange and oaken spice.
Silky mouthfeel, with layers of stewed, spiced fruits, vanilla cream, custard, and mellow oak.
Warm oak builds, with baking spices, sherried fruit, and robust barley.

I remember trying this for the first time. I am Irish I like the Irish whiskey but usually drink scotch (Talisker, Lagavulin). This is the first Irish whiskey that really blew my mind. There are two type normal and cask strength. Normal is ok but the cask strength is incredible.
Fantastic! Just add some water and let it rest for a minute or two and you have an absolutely stunning whisky!
Quality stuff. Little water to calm it down and open it up, but neat is still fairly smooth for abv.
