Rampur Asava
A intriguing single malt whisky from the Rampur range in India, which was initially aged in bourbon barrels before being moved over to Indian Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks for a finishing period. Lots of red fruit notes with drying spice for balance here. A fascinating expression!

Nose
Clove, blackcurrant, juicy plum, honeyed barley.
Palate
Bold raspberry and redcurrant, followed by cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish
A touch of cigar box develops on the finish.
