One of four expressions released by Old Pulteney in mid-2018, Huddart is named after the street on which the distillery resides. Following a finishing period in that previously held peated whisky, this is a particular smoky and intense dram.
Caramel apple, a whiff of bonfire smoke followed by creamy vanilla.
Burnt sugar and fried banana, alongside a touch of brine.
Lingering thyme honey and earthy malt.
It's ok but tastes like what it is (as pretty much all nas do) a young whisky getting bottled before it's time. Look, I get why they do it and you pop it in a nice bottle with a gift box, manufacturer some romantic backstory and it sells but I do think there's a touch of the golden goose starting to creep in here with a lot of distilleries as they distort the things that make a single malt special.

Not as good as the 12 (one of my favourites) but still very decent. But my general recommendation is just get the Old Pulteney 12 instead of this.
Ok whisky, not unpleasant but lacking in depth with a very short finish. The smoke is barely noticeable. The 12 is better and much cheaper.
Not a bad dram, but a few more years in the cask would do wonders for it. It’s a little harsh and weak on the finish, the smoke is gentle to the point of non existent. An average whisky redeemed by the classic Old Pulteney brine and it being bottled at 46%, perhaps better suited to the £30 mark. A huddart version of the 12,15 or 18 would be a different animal.
