A limited edition single malt from Old Pulteney, Harbour was matured by the sea in a selection of four American oak bourbon barrels at the coastal Highland distillery. With layers of coconut, vanilla, tangy citrus, and sweet spice, all backed up by delicate notes of coastal brine, this is a fine example of what Old Pulteney's whiskies are all about.
Creamy layers of vanilla and toasted coconut, buttery oak, and dried orange peels.
Juicy raisins, a touch of dried mango, runny toffee, and woody spice, with a touch of new leather beneath.
Stewed fruits, preserved lemons, subtle salinity, caramel, and rich spice.
Don't understand why the previous review by Jim was so bad. It's very easy to drink and enjoyable. Plenty of rasing in the taste. Nice nose with vanilla and tangerine. Something to enjoy and will not brake the bank.
Excited to try this as the 12 Year has a nice briny salty twang that melds with the caramel and other elements of the whisky. Tried to get into this but it's just poor. No defined taste, no salt, not much of anything - it to me tastes like the single malt equivalent of "muddy" coffee. Put your money, somewhere, anywhere else. One of the most disappointing single malts I've tried in over 15 years of drinking them.
