Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

Not Great Whisky. Almost like a cheap whiskey but 30 dollars a bottle.
I am very happy that a local store has been able to get Proper 12 in stock. It seem that most of these poor reviews are some snob or hater comparing to $100 or more bottles. Compare this to whiskey at the same price point and you'll be very happy.
Terrible whiskey, no doubt damaging the image of Irish whiskey worldwide. I wasn't expecting to like it but even then I was disappointed. Shameless money printing from a man who did need to stop to this. Why he didn't use his wealth and influence to create something genuinely good is beyond me.
Picked a litre bottle up from the local shop for £20 to see what all the fuss was about and its as bad as I thought it would be. Think petrol mixed with vanilla.
I didn’t expect much from this seeing as it’s endorsed by a celebrity but it’s actually much better than I expected. Not a whole lot of character but it is quite smooth and for the same price as Jameson I’d actually choose proper 12. Not bad at all. The Sugarbear
