Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

Nasty stuff
I found it a little harsh for my pallet. Usually, lowland malts are my thing, so I wouldn't go for a blend. Not terrible.
Great tasting whisky, and is only hated on by people who don't like McGregor. Should be about the whisky not the person behind it.
This is the smoothest whiskey and has great flavor. People saying it's bad are simply Conor haters. I've given it to at least half a dozen people and not told them what it was and they all thought it was amazing. Super good with ginger ale
For the same amount of money, you can buy Jameson, Bushmills, Tullamore Dew, Powers, Mcconnell's, Slane, just to name a few. All of these whiskies are better than Proper 12. Typical Irish notes of metallic green apple, vanilla, and a tiny bit of shortbread, with rubbing alcohol throughout the pallet on this one. Not terrible, just feels very rushed and unrefined. Feels like it should be a $15 bottle maybe, not deserving to be charged at the price of the big boy Irish brands.
