Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.
Tastes like a discount Bushmills. Very little flavor. Seems hurried and unfinished to get it on the market quickly. A little apple. Maybe some caramel. A harsh rubbing alcohol aftertaste. Anyone handing out five stars must be working for the company. Don't drink it alone. Cut the price by $10 a bottle and maybe use it with mixers.
A lot of the “reviewers” on here can’t seem to get over who made this. For an Irish whisky it’s smooth sweet and better than Jameson’s. At the price it’s very drinkable
If you want a cheap Irish whiskey go for Jameson. If you're willing to spend a little extra go for Redbreast. This thing literally smells like nail polish remover with vanilla extract. Most of the people who like it here either don't know about whiskey or they're paid reviewers. There is no way anyone who has tasted a decent whiskey will like this. If you want to support Conor and want to biy this try it with a good ginger beer that was good because it covers the nasty smell and taste. Also gets you drunk.
I taste plastic, like band aid, on the finish
Smooth, leaves you wanting more.
