Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

Smooth and balanced, goes down easy. Some aftertaste, nothing out of the ordinary if you’re into Irish whiskies. The toasted wood is reminiscent of Jameson and Tullamore Dew
Better than Bushmills, Paddy and Jameson
It's a blend. Did McGregor actually help in the blending process? Probably not. Did it select the type of casks to be used? Probably not. Is it just cheap stock from the Middleton Distillery (Jameson's) in Cork? Most definitely. Is it more expensive than Jameson's? Yes. Is it the best Jameson has? Absolutely not. Cheapest casks went into this there is no doubt. Will it get you drunk. I'd imagine in plentiful quantities. Should you buy it? See above.
Soft juice not impressed
Tasted a lot of whiskey over the years , and some suit others don’t , regards Irish whiskey I nearly ended up in a brawl , according to a customer I was selling Protestant whiskey and he ended up spitting at me and walking out , I don’t know if proper twelve is religious but it’s one fine dram and I would recommend it .
