The positive reviews seems to be all from McTap fans so they rave about it just because of that. As a drinker this is below standard Jameson. Drink with caution
My new favourite whiskey, i think the bad reviews are from people that dislike him. Drink it without bias. Great on the rocks, smooth AF neat. Try it you won't be dissapointed.
bad
it's pretty smooth, gotta be honest it was a lot more vanilla than expected, almost bourbon like in flavor. at about $30 it's priced right where you'd find Jameson or Jim beam so the price is right. I'm giving it an extra half a star because some of these reviews are clearly just people that hate McGregor
I am a scotsman and I know my whiskies, from the spey valley to the isles. Proper 12, is the equal to any of the great single malts, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, Talisker etc. This whiskey puts Ireland on the map. And poses a serious threat to Scotlands hedgemony as the worlds greatest whiskey country.
