Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

Great stuff
I think this whiskey has had the most polarizing reviews I had seen, which lead me to believe they were all done by either Conor's fanboys, or by people who hate him. So it actually took me a long time to plop down the money to try it, being that I'm on the fence with Conor, I didn't have that fanboy desire to at least own a bottle. Now I am from the school of whiskey drinkers where I like that bit of a punch to the throat, and the burn going down when I drink. And speaking from that perspective I found this to be much better than I was expecting. While I didn't taste all of the "vanilla overtones" or any of the delicious nuances I've read about (and seldom do I ever), but I certainly didn't taste all the negative I read about either, no burnt plastic flavors, or turpentine, nor kerosene. It was just a decent strong whiskey. So if you're not sure if you want to try it, give it a go, provided that you don't require super smooth sipping whiskey, this is a good, "Take a shot, swish it like mouth wash, swallow it and yell like Ric Flair" type of whiskey.
Good for the price
Absolutely horrible. I pride myself On my slightly more educated palate over some. I’m always introducing friends to new flavors by letting them pick something from my collection. That all said, everyone wanted to take a “shot” at the proper 12 I had just gotten in. We toasted, and took a large sip.... we all just looked at each other for a moment and shook our heads. We then saved it for another night of drinking games during a podcast where we would slug down shots. It’s not even good enough for a fun quick shooter.
Great whiskey, I don't know why people are complaining maybe they are jealous of Conor's success. It tastes good, it's smooth as it should be. Soon Jameson era will be over.
