Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

This is a reasonably-priced, well-balanced, easy drinking whiskey. Light floral nose, apples, calvados, Honey and pepper on the palate. Pine wood short finish. Don't know/don't care about the guy behind it --- judging this cost versus the taste and finding it good value.
I personally think the reviews of this are a bit harsh. It's a fine enough drink for the price and I was pleasantly surprised by it given its reputation as being bottled heresy. A smooth drop with a sweet honey taste that goes well with a ginger ale mixer.
Average whiskey that hits about as hard as the maker
Probably the worst Irish Whiskey I’ve ever tasted. Not smooth at all. The flavor was so harsh and muddled it tasted almost carbonated.
Nothing to do with the owner, I'm a fan of him but it's simply not pleasant whiskey. Should be much better from Bushmills history and coloured it way too much
