Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

This is not a drink for the lovers of "proper" whiskey. It really is just a cheap tasting thing. Might be good for mixers with coke, but that is about it. It is just a drink that is invented and marketed by celebrity. For that money get yourself some other real whiskey. Any would be better really.
Honestly, better than Tilamordew, smoother than Jameson. More flavorful than most irish whiskeys whither practically no bite. At 3 years a rather good sipper mixer or shooter. 10+ years will crush the competition. By far my favorite Irish whiskey. Its the best in any form really. And I've drank a lot. Writers Tears is trash Irish whiskey in comparison. Like I could take Proper Twelve and just chug it, it's that good.
If your looking for a sipping whisky this probably won't please you. If you're wanting a mixing whisky this is perfect. And yes there is a difference. It's only a 3yr old whisky which I personally NEVER consider a sipping whisky. As far as every thing else. It's a good nice balance. Which means since the company is only like 6 years old when their 12 year old batch is ready it should definitely hit the mark as a fine sipper.
Great and smooth drink
i enjoy'd it , nice after taste
