Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Vanilla pod, floral barley and a touch of sandalwood.
Orchard fruit and honey notes arrive first, backed up by a kick of white pepper.
Drying oak heat and a drizzle of caramel.

I accidentally gave this a half a star. Im a whiskey drinker. Don't waste your money on this.
my husband loves this whisky. drinks it straight, a bottle last about 2 weeks here
It creates a different flavour when poured into proper twelves stainless steel shot glass. This whiskey happens to hit in my top five whiskeys but I wont drink it unless I have a stainless steel cup. But that's to bring out it's TRUE flavour. I actually wandered if bottled in the stainless steel if it could make it's way in the locked cabinet I actually recommend a new cup type; *Stainless steel cup that measures shots *rounded shape for a better hold *surround it in a 10mm recycled glass (itl allow the cup to survive a drop or two) * the symbol sand blasted on the outside (only 1mm in) and {positioned for thumb to grip into} *name on the outside of the stainless steel cup positioned to highlight when the light hits the green so it can be seen through.
It tastes like the youngest thing Bushmills could bottle, the ethanol burn is real with this one. I like Connor but this was a big disappointment. It's alright with a mixer, you got to treat like as a novelty.
Received as a gift by someone who doesn't know whisk(e)y. The nose is quite acetone. I get a bit of vanilla and pear drops? The palate has a sweetness that is quite pleasant, but the throat feel suggests a much stronger alcohol level than it is. Not surprising for such a young whiskey I suppose. And to be fair, it does turn into a decent flavour after the hit. The finish is decent, it is quite caramelly and fruity, more of that pear drop flavour as well. All in all this is a mediocre whiskey, it is too sweet overall, but for the price? Not too bad.
