Sometimes, more is more. Wise words from the folks behind Profound Richness, a cracking 10-year-old Highland single malt brimming with powerful, meaty depth. The bold spirit is well suited to generous ageing, and a large portion of this one is finished in sherry casks selected especially for their notes of dried fruit, leather, and tobacco. The bold malt and hefty sherry influence tangle brilliantly, resulting in a rich, unctuous sipper.
Heaps of juicy cooked orchard fruits, Tarte Tatin, and buttery shortbread open the way for tannic old leather, dried apricot, and stewed plum. Robust malt develops beneath, with rich, boozy fruitcake.
Powerful layers of golden syrup, dulce de leche, and robust oak lead, joined by peaches, pears, and baked apricot. Dense yet mellow, woody spice progresses in time, with drying leather and beer sticks resting in the depths.
Red berries and marshmallows come through toward the finish, with wild strawberries and redcurrants supported by milky coffee, rum and raisin ice cream, and delicate hints of clove. Toasty notes of cinder toffee linger.

Very nice, lots of flavours and smooth. Personally I find it too sweet, i kind of expected that given the tasting notes but didn't expect it to be so over the top. It's bit like a mix of whisky and syrup :p It was worth a try on sale though. If you like sweet whisky i think you'll love it.
Best review I can give is that the whisky exactly matched the decription, rich in evry way described.
wow ! this is a beautiful, rich and flavoursome malt that is just brimming with flavours just like the description. I would love to know which distillery it comes from. Anyone care to offer some suggestions ??
Dry leather and a bit of tobaco. Not as rich as it claims in my opinion. There's better whisky out there at the 10yo mark and this price range.
Master of Malt seems to have growing line in its own bottlings and this is very much as described. It is indeed profoundly rich and is good value even in a 50cl bottle. To my palate, it is a little too sweet. The dulce de leche/marshmallow note mentioned by the expert taster is very evident - I would call it pecan or maple fudge in the mouth and the end of the palate and, for me, it unbalances what it otherwise a very enjoyable dram
