A 12 year old version of Powers Gold Label - a classic blended Irish whiskey bursting with flavour. This is made with selected Irish whiskeys aged for at least 12 years in bourbon barrels and the result is sweet, creamy and spicy!
Spice, manuka honey, cinnamon, bergamot, cedar wood, potpourri, orange zest and hints of soft, supple barley.
Creamy, smooth, spicy and sweet. A lot of vanilla, peaches in syrup, stewed apples, custard and pepper.
Dried apricots, honey and dessert wine.
At a little over the €50 mark I found this whiskey very satisfying.. very smooth and bursting with both sweet and fruity flavours. Looks like I'll have to purchase another for Christmas
