Port Askaig presents a limited edition batch of 15-year-old Islay single malt! Sourced from a distillery on the north coast of the island, this release is made up of 30 refill hogsheads, aged for at least 15 years and bottled at a hearty 50.55 ABV for a robust, oily profile, layered with earthy smoke, tobacco, zesty florals, and molasses.
Notes of toasted vanilla, honeysuckle, citrusy sea salt, and peated smoke on the nose. The palate features brown sugar, tobacco, and floral lemongrass, finishing with sweet melon and molasses. The higher ABV enhances smoky and earthy aromas, along with citrus and spice, while contributing a rich, oily texture.
