Created by Richard Paterson, the chap behind the Sheep Dip range, comes another farmyard-themed whisky - it’s Pig’s Nose! Fear not, of course there weren’t actually any snouts harmed in the making of this blend. The reason behind the name is because it's as 'smooth as a pig's nose', as the saying goes.
To be honest, we’ve never actually touched a pig’s nose, though after tasting this whisky we’re sure they must be very smooth indeed.
Gristy and youthful, some fruit, barley malt, porridge. Young but very sweet.
Creamy and sweet. Soft, gentle, quite gristy, rather oily and slightly coastal. Hints of salt.
Medium length, salty butters and caramel.

I am a scotch lover, and this is by far my favorite
An easy drinker, to be sure. No real hint of anything except a sweet vanilla finish, and no real alcohol puff in the nose either. In my opinion, best enjoyed as an after dinner drink in place of a cordial, but would probably be good for a late night poker marathon with the buddies. The way a blend should be...
This is a lovely whisky everyone out there should give it a try. Very mild, beautiful.
Abosolutely splendid! Stanisław Remuszko and his nameday's guests, Warsaw, Poland, 13.11.15
I am apprehensive about buying new whisky's before I try them but I took the the modest plunge on Pig's Nose. What a value. Nice, noticeable but not overpowering peat flavors, a well made blend that won't make you hide your receipt from the wife.
