    Paddy Irish Whiskey

A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy Flaherty. Before that it had the rather catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one.

The nose is oily and fresh with floral notes, cereal grains and plenty of fruit.

    Palate

The palate is sweet and of medium-body with toffee and cereals, a rosewater note with a little butterscotch and vanilla.

    Finish

The finish is spicy and dry with a little black pepper and oak.

    Far better

Very oily and smooth more body then Jamesons and Dew I suspect a higher quantity of pot still whiskey included in the blend. The best of the starting price irish blends my go to irish whiskey

    Bit o' the Irish

Paddy's is hard to find. I did a taste test with my Jameson gold, and found the Paddy to be smoother and comparable regarding taste. I think it is case study in marketing, and someone decided that the Jameson needed the fancy packaging and high price tag. I love Paddys - especially with a Ginny.

JAMES JOYCE IS TURNING OVER IN HIS GRAVE !

Not worth a review. Taste? Much like American hair tonic; incorrect - that's giving it a bit too much character. $33.45? I paid a knock out $20.00 at Kroger's in Indiana. Horrendous.

    Nice mellow whiskey

This is a great whiskey in the 25 dollar range I just bought one at ralphs for 12.99. It is a great tasting irish. Very pleasant very smooth. I like better than jameson and bushmills. I'm mostly a single malt scotch drinker but this irish is amazing.
