    Paddy Irish Whiskey

A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy Flaherty. Before that it had the rather catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one.

    Finish

The finish is spicy and dry with a little black pepper and oak.

    Dangerously easy to drink

As the title suggests, this whiskey is pretty smooth and goes down easily. Very citrusy, floral, and honey-sweet, not at all alcoholic. The finish is dry and very black-peppery, I even sneezed a couple of times after having finished a dram, fascinating! I like it very much! It is very smooth and delicate, and I think that drinking it on the rocks or with a lot of water would destroy it completely, although I haven't tried it. In any case, it is very enjoyable sipping it neat or with just a few drops of water to open it up a little.

    It's alright

I've only ever tried this on the rocks. I'd classify it as being on and around the same level as the orginal Jameson and Powers Gold Label. You can drink it neat or on the rocks and its okay but there is definitely better stuff out there. Best for drinking mixed in my opinion.
