A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy Flaherty. Before that it had the rather catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one.
The nose is oily and fresh with floral notes, cereal grains and plenty of fruit.
The palate is sweet and of medium-body with toffee and cereals, a rosewater note with a little butterscotch and vanilla.
The finish is spicy and dry with a little black pepper and oak.

This is a belting whiskey. I'd go as far to say its better than Jameson although not got the kick Jameson has. But only tried Paddy 2 days ago and I love it. It's so nice, just pissed off its in such short supply in supermarkets.
Very rough on the palate.
One of the smoothest whiskey. One of my favorites.
Love the flavor, super smooth. Was a beer drinker and decided to venture into whiskey. Must have tried 20, then this one. Loved it, then I moved and couldn't find it so I tried other stuff that wasn't bad. Just found it and without a doubt best whiskey I have had, despite the price. If you are a scotch person just buy some Paddy's and flip some ashes in it and it will be the best scotch you've had. I dont like scotch, it taste like ashes in my whiskey, which I have had before.
Ordered this whisky on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday it’s a birthday present it was superbly packed and I am sure my husband will enjoy it he had a paddy whisky somewhere but couldn’t find it locally. Very impressed with the service.
