Matured in ex-bourbon casks for 12 years, this Old Pulteney malt was a Double Gold winner at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Crisp and clean. Great balance reveals notes of herbs and grist. Parsley, almond.
Balanced with medium body. Musty, nutty, sultana, toffee, spices. Oak.
Medium, oak, spices.
Plate has big notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, fresh fruit and citrus rind. Has a relative short, light/medium strength finish that tastes of ground pepper, spices and oak.

Nothing special about this whisky but its very drinkable. A great session whisky or would make the perfect gift for someone who is new to whisky or you aren't sure what type they like.
out of this world would not drink nothing else, just bough another 2 bottles of 12 years old for my friends to have a drink. love it. i have tried other malts. but this one takes the cake ///
Clear, heather like color (always good!) Aromas of honey, vanilla extract,. Tastes warming, subtle sweetness and spice. I picked up a taste of English Tea on the top of my mouth, small finish however.
