The sixth release of Morrison & MacKay's tasty Old Perth blended malt, named in honour of the Scottish city of Perth and its historical connection to whisky. Nothing to do with Australia's Perth. Sorry, Australia.
Pancakes with maple syrup and blueberries. Earthy at points.
Caramelised nuts, melted chocolate, slightly leafy.
A few hints of peat smoke linger behind butterscotch and apple.

Nose is floral and grassy. Remind me of Balblair 2005 vintage. Taste is unmistakable Balblair, but with some sweeter elements that are originated from other malts. Not as dry as Balblair, which is more friendly in my opinion. The finish is bitter as lemon peel and woody. Interesting but not to everyone taste. I spend more time on the nose than the taste.
