Oban
Scotland
Single Malt
A bustling seaside resort has grown up around the distillery in the two centuries since it was first built in the fishing town of Oban. The West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion and this 14 year old is a classic whisky from the distillery.
Smoky, maritime nose with hints of sticking plasters and toffee brittle.
Smoky, creamy palate with notes of marmalade, toffee apples and pear cider. A development of cloves comes late palate.
A long, malty finish with toasty oak and spice.
A true classic, Oban's 14 year old is a great coastal dram for lovers of lightly smoked, fresh malts.

Oban 14 is perfect. Even though I love peaty whisky this stands out as a perfect balance between the islands and speyside. Don’t listen to those who are peat or Sherry cask biased this is simply wonderful
I think this is a good choice to introduce a rookie to scotch. It has a very inoffensive and balanced flavour. I agree with others that it is overly sweet, but this would be a positive if you were new to scotch. In this middle priced bracket, you can certainly get more distinctive and interesting whiskies. Enjoyable, but nothing to write home about.
Wonderful fruit and a little honey. Oaky, malty, Scotch!! I love scotch, and I truly believe this is yet another masterpiece from Scotland. It is a cornerstone of any decent home scotch bar. Peppery malt deliciousness!!
Well rounded and easy drinking. Primary flavour for me is subtle heather and honey. In its own way, I quite like it, yet it's also kinda forgettable. If it was 2/3 the price, I'd buy it now and again. But for that money, I can buy Longrow, Glen Scotia etc, which for my money offer so much more flavour
It's a toasty, peppery, and briny experience. If that's your thing, it's great. If it's not, it's rough.
