Chapter 7
Chapter 7 of Monologue's A Whisky Anthology series takes us to classic Scotch single grain distillery North British, which means we're in bargain territory. This tasty single grain was aged for 30 years in a sherry butt, and even though there's only 290 bottles of this single cask whisky distilled back in 1991, it's not even breaking £100. Old grain is such a joy.
Lots of creamy, vanilla-y oak lead with banana bread, cinnamon, sweet tobacco, and orange peel in support.
Toasted almonds, golden syrup, black tea, and coconut join the party.
Sweet and a touch drying.
