Poised and slightly peaty. Pure Malt White is a blended malt with whisky from Nikka's excellent distilleries. Really recommend this.
Fiery hot with strong peat taste, clears the nose and heats the throat ... good and strong ... look forward to trying the 'Black' label and others from this area.
what a gem, medium peat and smoke, a salty and a smooth full mouthful, long briny finish, absolutely delicious. If you like Bruichladdich or Talisker then this is something you will appreciate.
This blend has plenty to offer. It is indeed quite peaty, as mentioned. Not quite the kick in the face you'd get from Laphroaig but certainly enough to get your nose in. There are other facets too, with plenty of sweetness and a decent finish. It may not be the world's greatest but it proves that you shouldn't overlook something just because it's not single malt.
I was given a taster set of this for christmas and the white is stunning, tarmaccy, like a laphroaig! Wonderful
