Another fabulous youthful peated expression from indie bottler Murray McDavid, released as part of The Vatting collection. Combining two single malts from undisclosed distilleries, the first is heavily peated, whilst the second is creamy and sweet to achieve a wonderfully bold yet balanced profile. Distilled in 2014, matured in bourbon hogsheads and finished in Pedro Ximènez sherry casks, a total of 1,542 bottles were produced for this release.
Smoky sea breeze, grilled pineapple, clotted cream, vanilla custard tarts.
Sweet peat smoke with an oily mouthfeel, plenty of sherried fruit and oak spice.
Prickling smoked pepper, warming baking spice, and charred oak.
