Part of Murray McDavid's Mystery Malt series comes this 1997 Eòrna Lòin (which, translated from Gaelic means 'meadow barley'), mysterious because Murray McDavid do not tell us their origin distillery. The single malt was predominantly matured in refill bourbon casks, though during the last three years it was stored in two first-fill Bourbon casks from the Koval distillery in Chicago, before being bottled at 46% ABV. A limited release of 333 bottles.
Sweet crunchy apple, citrus, honey and vanilla.
Fresh fruit, citrus, creamy and slightly grassy.
Long, with nougat and orange citrus.
