A mysterious single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, independently bottled by Murray McDavid under the name Darach-Ruadh II. It's a 9 year old expression from an undisclosed distillery, matured in a first-fill Oloroso cask - which has imparted a rather beautiful rosy hue to the whisky...
Fruit cake, sugared almonds and a hint of pepper.
Raisins, sultanas, sweet popcorn and chocolate-covered peanuts.
A slight tough of mint leaf shines out through layers of spiced molasses and chocolate ice-cream.
