Morrision & MacKay's Old Perth range expanded in late 2015 with the introduction of a Peaty expression and one produced with whiskies aged in Sherry casks (the bottle you see before your eyes right now). A pleasantly Sherried blended malt from the Old Perth selection, which is a tribute to the splendid city of Perth in Scotland.
Brandy-soaked Christmas cake, milk chocolate and a touch of toasted barley.
Buttery. Brown sugar and chewy raisin, chocolate notes grow enjoyably bitter.
Medium length, with a spicy kick of ground clove. Hint of fresh berries give a sweet balance.

Having family in East Kilbride I have been most fortunate in receiving many splendid bottles of malt whisky. Old Perth certainly makes a rapid acquaintance with the taste bubs. Not sure if I would give many stars for it.
Very nice whisky at the right price, fruity, stunning flavour with a good warming reassurance
Easy drinking blend, Great flavour!
Thin in texture and absolutely emaciated in taste. The tasting notes provided above are correct, if you imagine them delivered through the medium of a car air-freshener. the continuity is good though as there is strange metallic taste throughout. I have given up with half a bottle left; and this is from somebody who bought a bottle of Cu Dubh and managed to drink it (slowly). I'm a fan of bargain-priced whisky but at just shy of £30, this is not. Buy yourself a Whyte & Mackay 13yo and save yourself a few quid and a lot of discomfort. 0.5 stars given in recognition of it officially qualifying as a whisky.
Pure Magic. An old friend used to say " This whisky is not for sharing you can have a glass of the fire water." Well this is definitely not for sharing. However people who say they don't like whisky will like this. Absolute value for money get it before it all goes.
