Nose

Honeydew melon, flamed orange peel, a touch of Frazzles.

Palate

Vanilla sits at the core, its earthy notes bolstered by the peat running alongside it. Still enjoyably fruity.

Finish

Toffee Crisp bars and the last wafts of drying smoke.

I had to try this whisky & I was not disappointed, my favorite smokey, peat whisky of all, is the 12 year old Talisker,& with this one, you will be truely impressed,with the quality, taste & price,

Really Good!

I don't often put a review up but felt the need with for this one. I came across this bottle on MOM by chance and have had the original monkey shoulder before and enjoyed it. As soon as I opened up the bottle you instantly get a warm woody smell. Not too overpowering but enough to realise this was a good choice. The taste likens to laphroaig and I was very surprised. The taste isn't too overpowering either and really enjoyable, so much so I had another! Definitely a good everyday drinking whisky in my opinion. One I would recommend as the price is very keen aswell.

Very peaty

This has got to be a favourite. It has a wonderful peaty flavour and is blended to perfection. £30 a bottle is good value. I might buy a whole one!!
