Millburn 1978 Bottling Note

Distilled at Millburn in 1978 and aged for 30 years before bottling in 2008 for Gordon and MacPhail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is crisp and of medium-body. There are notes of almond and a touch of nut oil, notes of cut grass and hay, strawberries and raspberries with notes of dried peels. The palate is of medium-body and quite thick. There are notes of pineapple and mango, hints of wood smoke with beeswax and treacle and a touch of smoked meat. The finish is long and slightly smoky with a good oaken note.

User Reviews of the Millburn 1978 (Gordon and MacPhail)

Cant believe this is such a special whisky

Just received this as a very appreciated present - scared to open in view of the price and noting the distillery is closed and these bottles are hard to get - have seen a price of £135!
