Originally launched in 2011, Midleton's Barry Crockett Legacy single pot still Irish whiskey was named after the distillery's master distiller, and aged in both bourbon and new American oak barrels. In 2023, with an eye on sustainability, the brand opted to redesign the bottle's outer packaging, but here we have an example of the previous design. Very interesting indeed and a limited release of around 2,500 bottles per year.
Soft, sweet notes of barley, floral honey, rosemary, citrus, cut hay, Summer meadows and toffee apples.
Sweet tobacco leaves and cedar, sugared peels, toffee, honey softness, vanilla and boiled sweets.
Very creamy and vanilla-rich, cinnamon and a little pear drop on the tail.
