Mellow Corn is a distinctive American whiskey produced by Heaven Hill Distillery. Classified as a straight corn whiskey, it is made with a mash bill of at least 80% corn, the remainder being a combination of malted barley and rye. It's aged in used oak barrels and has a light, golden colour and a bold flavour profile characterized by sweet corn, vanilla, and oak, with a touch of spice. Bottled at 50% ABV, it offers a strong, flavorful experience that stands out among other whiskies.

Very good and smooth does lack that kick but is very moreish and pleasant
A bit sweet but definitely grows on you. After thinking "not for me" the bottle didn't last a week!
Considering the price point, there is nothing to think about. Just buy it. The nose is corn and vanilla, the palate: buttery popcorn. A bit of water reveal the cask influence, some fruits are there in the background. It's not complex, but it is very tasty. I have yet to come across something this good at this low price. For aficionados, this represents an old forgotten breed of whisky..here it is, in all it's simple glory.
Essentiall and informative to the whisky enthusiast’s palate, well rendered version of corn spirit
It must have been my depression era parents but I’m always fascinated by something good at a low price (e.g., $2 cigars). This is interesting juice. Sometimes I just want something a bit different than bourbon wood or Islay peat/smoke. Very nice and if you ever wondered what the corn in bourbon adds to the flavor, you will recognize the corn flavor instantly. Not quite as good IMO as Balcones but 4 times cheaper. One reviewer said this spirit was young and tasted like it. As a bottled in bond it’s at least fours years old. All in all, an interesting dram that is dirt cheap and pretty darned good. And of course the 1940’s label - gotta love that yellow thing. Hope they never change that.
