Master of Malt Islay Single Malt
This is the Islay edition from our range of Secret Bottlings, now with a smart revamped label. The whisky in the bottle comes from a secret Islay distillery, and whilst we can't tell you exactly where it was made we can hint that it has a decidedly South Coast style...
The fact we don't reveal the distillery's true identity allows us to bottle top-quality single malt whisky at just a fraction of the usual price.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Southern coast of Islay on the nose! Big on classic cool wood smoke with sweet honey sweetness. Hints of sticking plasters, grist and maybe lemon sherbet?
Palate
Rounded with dry notes of iodine amidst a beautiful butterscotch sweetness. Dry wood smoke, and hints of tarmac on a hot day, but gentle ones, mind.
Finish
Becomes more savoury, with just a touch of creosote, and all the usual suspects: iodine, smoke etc. Very good indeed.
