What can we tell you about this Secret Speyside single malt? What we can't tell you is the distillery of origin, because it's a secret innit! We can share that this Speysider was distilled in 2014, and spent the next decade maturing in a single refill hogshead. We cracked the cask open in 2024, releasing 553 bottles, all-natural colour, no chill filtration for our Master of Malt Single Cask collection. If there was a website that could guess the source of a whisky based on tasting notes for clues, now would be the time to use it, and if we had a link we wood definitely share it!

Welcoming layers of creamy grist and estery, slightly overripe fruit, gooseberry fool, and slightly sweetened crème fraîche. A touch of sawdust beneath, with vanilla shortbread, lemon drizzle cake, and banana loaf.
Fruit Salad sweeties and whipped vanilla cream are backed by some savoury oak and hints of bread dough, then waves of chocolate honeycomb, buttery caramel, and green apple arrive.
Creamy, with those ripe fruit notes carrying all the way through from the nose, and pineapple cubes, backed by balanced oaken char, rusk biscuits, almond tarts, and sweet fudge.

This is not the first of these bottles that I have bought and I do like the style of this distillery’s output being linked to a wood near Elgin. It is a light, slightly fruited spirit that just needs one cube of “clean” ice and it then should sit and breathe a little to be enjoyed at its best IMHO. I’ll repeat that I have bought several of these and will continue to do so. I think it’s time for another wee one...
I’ve bought whiskies from this distillery over many years and they suit my palate well. It is an easy-drinking, slightly floral, soft scotch, great for “everyday” sipping with just a cube of ice.
Thought of having it and discover something different. Very disappoint. There is nothing here, no taste no flavours just alcohol . Never again for this one
A very pale but very pleasant sip. Thoroughly enjoyed this punt into the secret side. Definitely a Speyside character to this. Less depth than more robust bottlings perhaps, but if you like a clean non peaty dram, this is a good one.
For £28(Prime price) an absolute piece of larceny. One of the best L's i've had in a long time. The scotch mist is unbelievable.Proof of the product quality.Don't hesitate or regret it!
