Mannochmore 12 Year Old 2009 - Hound (Fable Whisky)
A mythical bottle of Mannochmore single malt here! Well, it's not actually mythical, it's totally real, we're looking at it right now – but it was independently bottled by the folklore-loving-gang at Fable and we were trying to keep on the storytelling theme... Anyway, this one was distilled in May 2009 and allowed to rest in a single hogshead cask until June 2021 – that's a dozen years of maturation right there. A delightful and completely real classic Speysider.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate buttons and toffee pennies, rich barley, a whiff of stewed fruit.
Palate
Malt proceeds with nutty spice, summer berries, almond croissants and herbaceous zest.
Finish
Nutty nougat, crisp apple, a touch of cut grass, and oaken vanilla.
