A groundbreaking release from Maker’s Mark distillery, Star Hill Farm Whisky boldly reinvents the brand’s signature approach to flavour. Crafted under the guidance of master distiller Blake Layfield, this annual release celebrates nature’s role in whisky-making, focusing on wheat, wood, and water.
This inaugural release is a marriage of two mash bills: one featuring 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley, and the other made from 100% malted soft red winter wheat. It’s the first Maker’s Mark whisky to forgo corn entirely, making its signature style of wheat the star of the show. Expect a smooth, rich profile with layers of sweet grain, soft spice, and gentle oak influence.
Star Hill Farm is B Corp certified, and Maker's Mark is the first distillery to be recognised by Regenified for regenerative farming. It sources all the wheat used in its whisky from within a 60-mile radius. Even the packaging reflects this ethos, with a natural cork closure and a thick, textured label made from recycled wheat fibres and label paper waste. The hand-torn edge adds a rustic, small-batch touch.
Soft, sweet wheat notes with hints of honey, toasted cereal, and delicate vanilla.
Creamy and full-bodied, with layers of buttery pastry, warm baking spices, and a touch of malted nuttiness.
Long and smooth, with lingering caramel, toasted oak, and a whisper of spice.
