We have the wonderful Alistair Walker to thank for bottling up this Macduff single malt, which was distilled in 2007. The Highlander spent just over a decade in a single hogshead, and after 11 years it was bottled for the Infrequent Flyers series. Only 211 bottles were released at 54.6% ABV.
Caramel digestives and milk chocolate tiffin, with a sea breeze running through it all.
Floral malt and plump dried fruit, with caramelised nuts, orange chocolate and apple skin.
Cigar box and dried herbs, balanced by brown sugar on porridge.

I've enjoyed this enough to purchase 4 bottles so far, 2 have been consumed, a third will be a birthday gift, the 4th? Who knows, save it or drink it? I've cherished every glass. Thanks Alistair.
