This is a 1 litre bottling of 20 year old Glen Deveron single malt Scotch whisky, originally released for the Travel Retail market. 'Glen Deveron' is the name used by the Macduff distillery for their official bottlings of single malt. It's not often you get to see their whisky outside of independent bottlings, though it does find its way into many popular blends. Plenty of Sherry cask influence in this one.
Bought on Royal Caribbean cruise for us$135. Found in DF store for us$70! Some burnt taste, better with a drop of water.
Great, matured whisky, but would not choose it for this price again. Complexity is missing, the 'clean finish' is too simple, no unique 'character' leaves any unforgettable taste.
Brilliant whisky if only I could find it outside of Australia.
I picked this up in Gatwick airport in London. A surprisingly flavorful and crisp scotch. Vanilla and oak flavors with a clean finish.
