A no age statement release from a beloved, underrated malt whisky distillery in Speyside, matured in three types of cask; hogsheads, oloroso sherry casks and bourbon barrels.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Citrus and toffee apples, caramelised pears, stem ginger and other subtle spices.
Creamy malt, a touch of praline, caramel and chocolate orange.
Sweet barley and oak spice.
A new offering from an old favourite.
If I'd never had the 16 yo Longmorn then I'd happily rave about this dram. It is smooth, sweet, subtly spicy and easy to drink. Maybe a little over priced but I'll go back for more.
Smooth and damn delicious!
This is a great bang for your buck bottle. Creamy malt, orchard and stone fruits, subtle spice. Giddy up!
Garbage. No age statement = trying to cash in on the whisky demand with stock that is not mature by labelling it with statements like "distillers choice". The raw tails in this whisky are disgusting.
Sublime...... Longmorn.
