Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2009

Of Flame & Fire was selected by Isabella Wemyss to showcase the fierce and untamed spirit of the Loch Lomond distillery's Croftengea single malt. Wemyss Malts promises a flavour explosion where the power of smoky, charred herbs and white pepper is artfully balanced by a subtle undercurrent of orchard fruit. The vintage 2009 single malt Scotch whisky was aged for 14 years in a single hogshead cask and filled just 322 bottles at 46% ABV.
A bold introduction of grassy smoke and charred herbs, ignited by a spark of white pepper, with subtle notes of orchard fruit that flicker beneath the surface.
The palate is a fiery dance of earthy smoke and peppery spice, tempered by the gentle sweetness of orchard fruit. The interplay of these elements creates a robust and intense taste experience that lingers on the tongue.
The finish is long and warming, with the smoky and spicy notes gradually smouldering into a lasting sweetness, leaving a memorable echo of fire and flavour.
