Loch Lomond
Scotland
Single Malt
A satisfying, subtly peated single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond. The distillery is renowned for being able to produce a multitude of whisky styles, including single malt (like the one you see before your eyes right now), single grain and blends. Versatile and talented, those Loch Lomond distillers...
Caramel, oily walnut, a touch of dusty oak smokiness.
Digestive biscuits and ginger snaps. Subtle vegetal notes develop later on.
Diced almond, coffee bean, toasted malt.
£4.15 - £29.95
Considering the price this is good whisky. Lot of snobs saying it's not ful or rich or something like that.... Well if you know your whisky thus is basic single malt and for everyday dram this will do fine. Loch Lomond doest make a bad whisky. Nice one
Incredibly bland, watery, no noticeable taste other than slightly malty..
Not a lot of peat, but on the 2nd glass it does show itself. Reminds me of the peat in Ledaig 10. A definite saltiness. Overall the combination of peat and fruitiness seems a little weird, but in a good way. Unlike any scotch I’ve previously had, I like that. I cannot ignore the price to quality ratio, ever. For that I give this five stars. The most complex dram I’ve ever had at this price.
Flat and watery with a slight cardboard off-taste and the slightest of hints of peat. It tastes like whiskey in the same way a tea bag previously used 2 times would make a drink that tastes like tea.
Amazing whiskey for the price. It can easily take on competition that is twice the price. I`m actualy having difficulty finding another scotch that has such a malty feel and that does not break the bank.
