Digestive biscuits and ginger snaps. Subtle vegetal notes develop later on.

It’s no Highland Park 18yo nor Glenfarclas 25yo but a perfect house whisky to enjoy between all them five star drams.
A well balanced single malt with a character. Fits to drink around the year. One of my favorites. When you don’t want have too peaty and too fruity or light , this is the one to choose. If the age limy shows, I would definitely give 5 stars. Forget about the price, this is an excellent whisky.
Hmm, it's not the best I've had but it's not the worst. About what I'd expect from a NAS for the price. Not complex and a little harsh on the throat with a short, uninteresting finish neat, but a splash of water released a bit more on the palette. It's not a whisky to sit and savour in slow time. Would I buy it again? Probably not but I'm reliably informed the 12yo from the same distillery is good. I may track that down.

Loch Lomond is 2nd-actually I must say, every bit as good as Glen Livet, in all respects, but @ 1/2 the cost, a tremendous bargain & has become the only scotch I keep in stock the past 4 years since it was recommended to me by the liquor store owner I do business with.
